BEAR Formal Report
For most IRS, SEC, 409A, and GAAP (Fair Value) reporting purposes, you need a comprehensive report which has the extensive documentation and detail those audiences require. The BEAR Formal Report is an 100–120 page Opinion or Conclusion of Value and is suitable for filing with government agencies. BEAR’s appraisers work as a team with your company’s CPA and other advisers to gather information about your company and to ensure that the report meets the requirements of the appropriate agencies.
Common BEAR Formal Report applications:
- Estate and gift tax reporting
- Asset holding company transfers
- ESOP appraisals
- Financial reporting
ValuePlan is our quick, low-cost system for calculating the value of an operating business. It’s intended for shareholders buying in or out of a business and for business owners who just need a good, competent value number but don’t need a big, costly report. This 6–10 page report is perfect for buy-sell agreements, exit planning, and estate planning. It’s a lot less expensive and a lot faster to produce than a BEAR Formal Report, but it will give very nearly the same value result.
